Implementing Systems Quickly
OA places the highest value on getting a system operational quickly. Doing so will benefit your organization and your customers in multiple ways. First, speed will ensure that the system delivers its intended benefit as quickly as possible. Second, the more quickly it is up and running the more quickly it can be fine tuned to better match the user. Third, quick and efficient system implementation will allow the customer to finalize the analytic questions they to ask in reporting operations. Finally, by getting the system in front of the customer quickly we remove the delivery risk that so often plagues custom development projects. A customer can either start using our software next week, or wait for custom development project that might be delivered a year from now.
Our customers don't buy our systems because they want to engage in a lengthy customization cycle. While our software needs to be configured to its user, we design so this can be done quickly and in an automated way wherever possible. We are not looking to saddle the customer with extensive consulting and add-on fees. Our goal is that the customer derives tangible value from quickly operational modules so that they will be able to leverage additional functions to realize even more value.

SMR is built on the premise that organizations solve problems in similar ways. We try to
measure, not necessarily to get a perfect answer, but to have a better handle on how we can
approach a problem or challenge, and then design a solution...
Health Care providers face many different challenges that require them to measure
in a new way. New regulations and reporting requirements appear frequently, aimed
at decreasing the cost of care. In order to maintain margins providers have to be
more efficient in how they manage data....
One core principle of the SMR platform is that users should only
enter the data required to solve the problem at hand. We strive
to give the user the ability to achieve the maximum output, advice,
and analytics from the minimum data entry burden possible....
Readmission Rates will be a huge issue for hospitals beginning in 2012. Any readmission in less
than 30 days will result in a financial penalty to the hospital. This problem lends itself well
to a data driven approach to both monitoring and improvement. SMRs newest module initiative
Speed to implementation is perhaps our most important metric. Every implementation
is different, but our goal is to build a customized implementation of the SMR platform,
with minimal work for the user overnight. We are constantly driving towards "Instant On" benefits
from our systems.
